this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Saints 38 - Panthers 10 I usually worry about Carolina more than any other division team but for some reason this year is different and that might be because Carolina is a really seriously crappy team....

Re: Saints - Panthers Predictions
My confidence is shaken a bit with all those turnovers .... I'll agree only if we shed those turnovers, otherwise it'll be close.

Carolina is a crappy team with one of the best run offenses and best pass defenses in the league. Along with sure tackling and a coach that seems to figure out how to beat us at home regularly, this is nowhere close to being a lock.
Saints 23 Carolina 20. |

Turnovers will be corrected. Run defense will perform better. Saints in a blowout! Panthers will limp out of the dome.

Saints 27 Panthers 20
We all know they are going to run the ball straight at this defense. The Saints have been giving up the long runs and everyone knows it. Hope they give Spicer a chance to help out. This is going to be another strong test for this team I give the Saints the win because of the improved secondary play and Drew. A tough game is not what I want right now with people going down with injuries. |

I see a 3 or 4 point win or loss... it can go either way in my book. I think this game will be much tougher than going into Miami.

Re: Saints - Panthers Predictions
I hate the Falcons and Cowboys more than the Panthers but, I hate losing to the Panthers just as much or more.
Football-wise, G Williams loads the box on defense and forces early 3 and outs for the Panthers. Offensively, the Saints eliminate the turnover and score plenty enough. Prediction wise, the Panthers get the false sense that they can exploit what they perceive as weaknesses on the Saints team. As it turns out, it's the PANTHERS that come in overconfident and run into a surprisingly hungry 7-0 Saints team and proceed to get skull-drug across the Superdome carpet for 3 1/2 hrs. Saints call off the attack mid way through the 4th period. Saints -- 38 Panthers -- 13 |
