Shockey hasn't dropped many this season, if at all, and has come up with some serious circus catches. Meachem catches every dang ball thrown his way, including tough ones in traffic. And Reggie has been solid this season. He always gets crapped on, but the guy is definitely valuable to this offense and he's really stepped it up the last four or so weeks. That one-handed grab he made last night was unreal. And SaintsFan1976, I noticed the same thing about Brees throwing it to Reggie out of the backfield. Drew always makes accurate throws except when it comes to Reggie. He missed badly on several balls to Reggie last Monday and when he's coming out of the backfield it looks like Reggie has to slow down. |

I voted Shockey. Henderson is much improved but Shockey is on his game and looking more like his pro bowl years.

Re: Best Hands on the Team....
Tough one...but I got to go with Shockey. He is making the adjustments to guarantee the catch - which means he's not getting much after the catch. Canton's not seeing things: Reggie is flat footed, having to stop, reach behind him and is losing his advantage on the outside when he doesn't get the ball in the right place. Great one-hander by Reggie yesterday. Shockey is earning his keep, and I'm glad to see it. Maybe Brees changed his socks or something, because he's been a bit high or a tad low, a little too much lead...can't put my finger on it. Even Brees' off-the-mark/out-of-sync days are better than most other's best day. I will be awfully glad when Lance Moore comes back. There's a different system clock ticking when he plays.

Re: Best Hands on the Team....
I say Colston but I voted for Shockey. Shockey is our best wr/te right now. He is catching everything coming his way.

Re: Best Hands on the Team....
Two years ago we were hoping that someone other than Colston could make a catch. Now we are trying to slice baloney awfully thin trying to figure out which of our all-pro receivers catches them best. It must be a terrible thing to have to make this choice. I feel your anguish.

Re: Best Hands on the Team....
I find it hard to blame Colston for any of his drops as Drew consistently puts him in tough situations when throwing him the ball. I said last preseason after a game that if Drew keeps leading him into big hits, he's going to get hurt... he did and still does it. Colston has great hands.

Re: Best Hands on the Team....
I went with Shockey although the margin this year is not far from first to worst at the WR/TE spot for this. All are playing well above average and drops have been limited.
