BTW, Rita is already running the day to day operations. I listened to a long interview with her in Sirius earlier this year. Tom still had a hand in things, but his role is reduced.

Agree totally with Foreverfan. Should be removed to smack talk. We got a long way to go and the dynasty talk should come from the outside looking in. As far as Rita Benson Leblanc I hope she continues to have a diminished role and Benson lives to be 100 years old. Look what the woman owner has done to the Rams either directly or indirectly. I do not mean to be judge mental or against women and there are exceptions to every rule but she is not the exception. Per my point In general this should be a Mans position and chiefly all your interactions are going to be with rich powerful men (give me a break). How is she as a woman going to not put herself in embarrassing positions and really relate to the 'A' type men in the NFL. She may be a great office person and ambassador for the Saints but needs to have nothing to do with the football operations.

Agreed. She'll do fine as an owner because she'll most likely let football guys handle the footballl stuff and let qualified personnel do the admin stuff.

She will be an upgrade.

Didn't read the whole thread, but my smart ass reply is no. I think Tom, Rita, Mickey, and Sean decided that they would prefer to build a team that would be good for just one year...then they'd get rid of everybody and do it again because it was so much fun.

I am embarrassed to say I read this thread ... An absolute waste of time.

Someone is asking if we can be a dynasty and we haven't even EVER won the NFC Championship? People, I'm excited as hell about this season as well, but let's not get ridiculous ...

How about we actually get to the Super Bowl and win it --- then we'll discuss this NEXT year if we start out 8-0 ... Until then ... Let's not be the idiot fans we hate on every other message board ... I'm all for intelligent conversation, but this is borderline stupid. Just stupid.

This is not border line stupid...border line stupid would be reading something into nothing when only a question is answered. I'm trying to get a feel for what the consensus of members think about the Saints future.:rolleyes:

Rugby ... By no means was I calling YOU stupid --- You're a fellow Saints fan and I'd never do that ... I just think this discussion is dumb. I can't imagine ANY franchise not believing that whatever they are putting together is good enough for a 'dynasty' ... All of them would tell you that is what they are doing ...
