Another Reggie Bush thread

You know, most people are talking about how Reggie will never be an every down back or whatever. The last few games though, even though he hasn't put up great stats(mostly because the ball hasn't been in his hands a lot), he looks more confident with what he is doing when he gets the ball. And while a lot of people will probably say they are tired of these types of threads, I actually think a breakout game for him is coming up. He looks like when he gets the ball now, he is in attack mode, instead of trying to dance with the defenders.

RB, Has been getting more playing time now that he has been lowering his head and showing SP he wants to be out there. Has anyone else noticed this?

Got to love SP!

...and he is holding the ball correctly and not fumbling. Pretty normal stuff... you screw up less game time. You get your mojo in the right place more playing time.

Still not sold that we need to keep him just yet if it comes down to cap numbers.

He is what he is. The staff has been using him well lately. The Saints offense sprays the ball around a lot and much of who the ball goes to is contingent upon how the other team is defending them.

With this in mind, regarding a breakout game for Reggie, Im sure there will be weeks when he'll get more touches than others and yes, Im sure he will shine is some of these games, he does seem to be running with just a bit more purpose lately.

Watch Reggie get the ball alot more for the next two games. And imagine this, what if Reggie catches or scores the game winning td for a playoff game or the most important game if you know what I mean. Would you be sold to keep Reggie? Just put it this way Reggie really was a good contribution; not great but good. We gotta show him some cause I know that guy has heart and skill maybe not much confidence not yet but he is getting there. So let's support him. Geaux Reggie geaux saints! Btw Reggie shoul kick Chris johnsons ass! If he was like him you guys wouldn't be posting this much threads about him. Or maybe you will but praising him!

Re: Another Reggie Bush thread

Reggie isn’t going to leave the NOS, a pay cut yes but to flat out gone – no. He does appear to be in attack mode when he gets the ball. The correct plays are needed for him. As far as running the ball he’s been doing fine I just would like to see the put return game wake up.

Re: Another Reggie Bush thread

you know its funny, his last few runs, he has been in attack mode style, but
they've been outside passes with a lone defender, and I was hoping he'd dance a little on those.

Yup... you've got to love it. I think Thomas and Bell's running style is rubbing off on him. No longer is he that pansy that shies away from contact... he's initiating it. Remember Reggie is still just 24 years old.
