I don't blame Drew for INT1.

INT2 was all on him...

Time to pick up Mike McKenzie in light of Porter's injury.

The turnovers obviously have to stop, or we have no chance against N.E.

And what's up with Colston's Reggie Bush impression? Like he needed to go airborne.... Made the game needlessly close!

+1

I appreciate him trying to make a play, but you're got to come away from redzone trips with SOMETHING.

Yeah soon as he went to leap, I put a "uh-oh" face on and sure enough...uh-oh.

Heck, with the way the Saints have played, and now the injuries are getting to where they were last year, I don't really like the Saints chances next week against Tampa Bay. All the Saints can really do at this point is to eliminate turnovers, and that should at least prevent them from going into a major losing streak. Over the next several games it's going to be important for the Saints to just hang in there, and hope they can get players healthy, backup players playing better, and just hope they can get hot at the end of the season and carry that into the playoffs. The good news is the Saints are 9-0 and have a 4 game lead in the division.

The good news is that Gay is better than Jason David, even if he isn't a starter on defense. We'll be fine when Greer and Sharper come back. Not nearly as strong on defense, but much better than today.

Perspective...

We are 9-0...

How would you like to be a Browns, Bucs, Rams, or even, ****, a Raiders fan right now?!?

They've played down to the talent and haven't tapped the playbook as much (not showing their hand) and they're still winning games...

Stop the Post Season and Perfect season talk and just like the players are told...take one game at a time and enjoy each victory that only half the teams in the league get to enjoy each week...

Read some of the pisser comments on the Falcons website a few weeks ago...let's be better than that is all I'm saying...

Finally, a voice of reason. I'm reading way too much panic management from the faithful on the boards. McKenzie? There's a reason they didn't bring him back. The guy couldn't cover man with a blanket because he's lost way too much foot speed. Hell, bring back David while you're at it!

My take is that the team just has to do a better job of taking care of the ball. Period. Turnovers are killing us. I also see Drew's timing/comfort being off, for want of a better term. His poise in the pocket is definitely weak. While I wish Porter the best, other teams are still putting together strong performances with loads of injuries to their ranks (Colts come to mind.).

Bottom line: Concern yes, panic no. Let the coaches adjust the schemes and lets see if some back up players to 'kick it up, another notch'!

No need for panic, agreed. but you have to factor in the Vikings may very well go 15-1 or 14-2. Their only loss so far was to an AFC team. You don't want to play Min in Min. Also if the injury bug keeps biting here we may limp into the play-offs and get sent home quick.

Re: A Good Team Would Have Beaten Us Today.

the time for worrying is now.....we need to get these problems fixed within the next 2 weeks because new england is right around the corner and we cant beat them if we play like this

i understand we have a lot of injuries right now but injuries are not giving up 115 rushing yards per game

we are getting exposed and it is a concern right now

one thing to mention is that teams like miami, carolina, atlanta, and st louis are very solid teams that have records completely indicative of their schedules

all of them have very tough schedules and their records are suffering because of it.....we also have a tough schedule but we are pulling wins out of our hats like good teams should

the only thing im disappointed in is that looking at games like this, that the colts have already played, its hard to group us with them

minnesota and indianoplis blew out the rams and we barely came out with a win

if we plan on playing with the elite, we need to get better fast......we arent going to get healthier as the season goes on.....the NFL doesnt work like that
