Re: Mike McKenzie anyone?
If MM can still play, I'm surprised he hasn't been picked up by someone else. He's a fairly well known CB. I'm thinking the reason he hasn't been picked up is that he can't play well enough to justify his veteran salary. There's probably a younger player out there who is as good and cheaper.
Jenkins is clearly going to be a playmaker at some point. I'm inclined to give him the chance to start making some plays. That said, if Porter does go on IR, they will need to sign a CB from somewhere. |

Re: Mike McKenzie anyone?
geez, it hurts to lose Porter. If yall look his play this year, he was outstanding. Bad loss. Danno, call MM ASAP, tell him we'll kick in
some extra hair care products too. My new prediction: Randall Gay is gonna be our new Official Saints Designated Goat in weeks to come, as previously held by greats such Dave Waymer, Freddie Thomas, Jason David, and Reggie Bush. You have to have one for certain fans who need a point of blame to help them cope with the stresses of cheering. Not saying he's going to be a weak link, or even necessarily struggle, but corner is a position easily visible on tv, so every success of his opponent will be spotlighted. |

Re: Mike McKenzie anyone?
He will need help even if he's healthy. MM's cover skills had diminished greatly even after his come back last year. He was still a good tackler but had lost a step. He was helped greatly by the wolves having eaten their fill on JD tender loins. He was struggling to stay with receivers and slinging dreds everywhere trying to recover when he thought he was burned. He's probably closer to 2 steps off by now. It would really be ugly to see him pull-up with a hammie in the 1st quarter of his 1st game back. You can't just pick it back up after having laid it down...it just doesn't happen like that. Let's not even put him in that position, and tarnish the fond memories that most of us have for his past contributions to our success. Let's roster him and Duece at the end and share the ring with them.

Re: Mike McKenzie anyone?
It looks like we have to find another corner for depth. I like MM and think he would be a great asset if he is in shape and healthy. All of a sudden the injuries are mounting again.
