Jason David?
Yes, he sucks. But he is available and knows the new system. Jenkins is looking great on ST but very average in coverage. Gay is not very good either. Gay and Jenkins are dead meat vs. New England. Porter and Greer were doing so well. Losing Porter is going to wreak havoc on us.

Re: Jason David?
I thought that Jenkins had a decent game. Did I miss something?

Re: Jason David?
He worked under Williams through the preseason. I am in no way saying he is a savior, but he is a corner that has experience in the system. I'm praying MM can come back and play...that would be huge.

Re: Jason David?
Watch MJ again...looks like a rookie the past 2 weeks. High level receivers will own him at this point.

Re: Jason David?
Jenkins will make rookie mistakes, which I can live with. Randall Gay is just not talented enough to be a starter. Hopefully Greer and Sharper can return healthy for the Patriots game giving us only one position to address in the secondary. It will be much easier to roll help to one guy than it will be to overcome missing 2 or more defenders in the back 4.

Re: Jason David?
I think Jenkins played OK. Plus, Sharper will be be back by the New England game, so Jenkins won't be 1-on-1 on Moss (unless we zone blitz). I'm also counting on Randell Gay getting excited about playing he former team. He'd probably love to intercept, sack, or cause a fumble by Brady and send a "ya'll haven't won a SuperBowl since I left" message to his former team, a' la Brett Farve.

Re: Jason David?
... might as well field a defense with 10 defenders.
The question I'd ask: what would be the advantage of playing someone like David or MM instead of Gay and/or Jenkins? What needs to happen right now, the OFFENSE needs to get its head out of its butt and stop turning the ball as they have the past 4 games. You eliminate the TOs on boneheaded plays, the last 4 games would not have been close. |

Re: Jason David?
Not really, unfortunately. Gay is a nickel at best. Jenkins looks lost unless on ST. We lost Porter for the season. Greer will be back, Thank God. Florence looks to be our best cover corner besides Greer at this point but we still need depth. Not many options and JD at least can rotate in. I'd take MM in a hear beat if he can play...
