Gibbs system was a broke pop warner system. MM and CM know how to man up, where to be what to do in situations. They fit Williams system far better than Gibbs broke system. |

I remember when he first showed up from Green Bay and didn't know our system, he was the only playmaker out there at that time. Mike is a very strong NFL cornerback. Solid player all around. Was all we had the past 2 years. |

Re: Saints Sign Mike McKenzie
You saw MM frustration with our safties not giving him help over the top and not taking the angles they were suppose to. I feel sorry for the guy. I felt like he was the only one who got it, obviously Gibbs didn't get it.
Now pair MM up with A DC and Safties who know what they are doing and where to be... Get the F out of here! This game is over before its played, lets hope what MM is ready and injury is healed like they are saying. I don't know if they actually held CM out for the Bucs game on purpose. You give the Pats tells and what to expect in the secondary. We didn't need him to win so sit him. Sure he may not have been in game shape but he's a pro and had been preparing to play!!! Something tells me there is more to that story. Saints may have been preparing for this game. |

The latest:
Saints placed CB Leigh Torrence on injured reserve with a separated shoulder, ending his season. Torrence, the Saints' No. 5 cornerback for most of the season, finishes up with 10 tackles and a half sack. The 27-year-old old is a favorite of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, but the Saints' increased CB depth will put Torrence on the roster bubble if he's retained in restricted free agency. Don't have to worry about his knees. I don't think he will be playing much man to man and with CMac and Sharper in the secondary that's ALOT of experience in the secondary. I like it alot.
