Predict the Score: Saints vs Pats

I, for one, can't wait for the game. ESPN just now on Monday Night Football preview is already hyping the game. They too are salivating in a Pavlovian way at the opportunity of carrying the game. Like the Colts/Pats game, this one will feel like a high caliber playoff game.

Although I would love a Fifty Burger, more realistically I am going with Saints 42 - Pats 35 ... I am not sure each other's defenses will be able to keep up. What say you?

its gotta be right sometime this season

the pats are in for a long monday night

im less worried about this game than i was about the rams game.....but not because i think the pats are scrubs

its because the pats dont run the ball.....they pass the ball in single coverage to moss or to a crossing wes welker

thats their offense in a nutshell

when brady gets pressured he makes mistakes.....we blitz like crazy and it will make the pats move the ball slowly and meticulously down the field......but history shows they arent patient enough to sustain a drive....they are all about going deep and throwing for first downs rather than checking down and moving the ball like we do

sharper will increase his TDs in this game but i dont know if it will be by only 1 or 2 or 3

No way will I attempt to predict this one. I am not even going to touch a straight up who wins. Maybe later on I will change my mind, but not right now...

I'm with you on this one. I'm not going to attempt a prediction either. This could end up being a shootout or a defensive struggle.

28-24 Saints. The Patriots have a good defence and will be pumped up wanting to beat us. I do think our guys will be equally pumped thou. Colston will score one. Bush will have on on the ground and one trough the air and Thomas will add one on the ground.

Saints are banged up on both sides of the ball and in spite of last week's performance (pounding the rock) Brees still has issues with taking care of the ball and not trying to make too much happen on every possession. The secondary is patchwork and given enough time, Brady will pic them apart. If they can jam Moss at the line, he's ineffective. Watch Welker tho.

Pats have a suspect secondary and have shown several times this season that they run out of steam going into the 4th quarter, which is when the Saints have proven to be at their best.

I'll take the Saints at home over the Pats 34-24.

If we lose, its because the sloppy Saints showed up. Payton gets a bit too cute with trick plays, and the Pats get away with holding all game (like they usually do)

If we win, its because we were clicking on all cylinders, Brees gets everyone involved, and our special teams play well.

Note to Payton - DON'T GET CUTE

Im not happy about typing the score, I just think the Pats will want to show something on national tv after the 4th and 2 disaster. Our boys shows that they are elite and they fight down to the end. Brady drives for a last second field goal. Saints win the rest of their games and we get home field advantage.

I'm not even going to take a stab at this game

Its going to be a close game that will come down to who executes their game plan the best in the 4th quarter. Who ever can control the line of scrimmage and the turnover battle will end up winning this game. Just praying that its the Saints

30-23 I have a feeling we have another slow start defensively before we get rolling on offense. I really am tired of the stress from close games and hopefully Monday will be another game where we control the 4th quarter.

The more I read about all the match-ups, the more I'm convinced if we play even a little bit sloppy, we're gonna get our teeth kicked in.

We'll need a near perfect game to beat these guys.

Agreed on the turnovers .... I have a feeling those sloppy plays are a thing of the past, thus pointing to our overtaking the Pats on Monday night. I'm just hoping we blow them out just because.

Yeah.

Because these guys have been perfect all year.

Against all of their opponents.

Even the three that BEAT them.

Because obviously, those three teams are far superior to the Saints because they had the audacity and poor taste to actually best the "Mighty Patriots".

They must have gotten lucky.
