this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Double Mc CBs looked pretty darn good against the Pats. But what happens when Greer and Porter get back? Do they move Mc and Mc to nickle/dime duty or does at least McKenzie keep the starting job?...

Re: So Who Are The Starting CBs?
whats the stat the says greer has been thrown at the most out of any DB in the league but allows almost the least amount of yardage per catch or has the most passes defensed per pass thrown at him
im not sure what the stat is exactly but greer is definitly our starter on the outside porter might have the best ball skills of all of our corners id say let porter and greer continue to start.....let MM play nickel or dime and let jenkins play the other side let chris mccallister go unless he is going to be our dime or quarter(do we have a quarter package?) he played well but he didnt make the plays that mckenzie and jenkins did gay might have lost his nickel duties.....its unfortunate for him because it was due to an injury but does anybody disagree that MM or jenkins have earned that position? |

Greer and Porter... our future along with Jenkins. Gay, McAllister, and Mike provide us with tremendous depth.

BTW Where was Young last night?
Greer and Porter are 1-2, with MM and Jenkins GREAT options at nickel and dime. Plus, Williams is constantly rotating, so everyone is fresh at the end McCalister was good, not great last night |

Re: So Who Are The Starting CBs?
Jenkins is playing lights out. Greer was playing at a Pro Bowl level when he got hurt. Porter was playing great when he got hurt with the most serious injury. Gay isn't playing well and can't stay healthy. McKenzie had a great game last night. McAlister was above average after a year away from football and in a new system. I'd say Greer and Jenkins with everyone healthy with Porter in the nickel and Mckenzie and McAlister getting reps in relief and different packages. I say that because I don't know if McKenzie and McAlister can hold up over a 6-9 game stretch. But, who knows when or if Porter is coming back. Loomis did a great job in picking up McKenzie and McAlister.

Re: So Who Are The Starting CBs?
I'd start McKenzie and Jenkins with McAlister at the nickel for now, when at full strength you still got to go with Greer and Porter but since we aren't sure when Porter comes back I wouldn't mind to see Greer and McKenzie start the 1st playoff game this year

Re: So Who Are The Starting CBs?
We have great depth, but when we get our injured players back I'd still like to see Porter and Greer.
