Yeah Bush is pushing his luck. I say offer 3-4 million and keep him in the slot or trade him.

Payton frustrated with Bush

Sean Payton clearly grew frustrated with Reggie Bush near the end of the first half. First, Bush took a screen pass and nonchalantly stepped out of bounds short of the first down after a nine-yard gain. The Saints subsequently failed to convert the first down when Bush was tackled for a loss on third-and-1. Later, Bush was blown up and knocked off his feet by Brian Orapko as he attempted to run a route on a screen pass in the right flat, resulting in an incomplete pass. The play prompted Payton to demonstratively motion to Thomas to go into the game and replace Bush. Fox cameras caught Payton addressing an emotional Bush on the sidelines after the play.

I got a name for you guys... Dexter McCluster, at Ole Miss. This guy is undersized, but great on returns, and gets through the tackles, very well. Sounds like a great third down option. I'm not sure if he is first round material, but if he is, it would be late first round, or early second, maybe even later, but I haven't really had my mind on the draft. Imagine that huh? l'm used to having the entire thing mapped out by now.

We've had pretty good luck with Ole Miss RBs..... :)

That's funny you mention McCluster, I was thinking about him as a return specialist and as a 3rd down RB. His size does worry me, he is only like 165, but he could be the answer.

As for Bush, the writing is on the wall. He is probably good as gone. Unfortunately, with his price tag vs his production, he has little to no trade value. The Saints should be happy to just release him and use that money on some top free agent defensive talent. My biggest issue with Bush is it appears he will never overcome his knee issues, and to me he looks like he has lost a lot of his speed. Dude is still fast, but he doesn't seem to be nearly as fast as he was when he first came into the league. I guess knee problems will do that to a guy...

Even that's overpaying .... Get what you can for a trade and move on.

Gah. Do we really want him playing against us?

Does BOBBY HEBERT (FALCONS), MORTON ANDERSEN (FALCONS), RICKEY JACKSON (49ERS) ring a bell?

I want to see the 'Reggie Bush' that we saw his first two seasons. He had that fire, that hunger, a little arrogance, that feistiness he had to fight for those extra yardage. Now, I see what he has become. I don't know what benching him might do for him. It can either motivate him to want to get back out there, like with Vince Young and Alex Smith (who, by the way, was Bush's HS teammate) or it could break him. I don't know if he's still have visions of Sheldon Brown's hit on him in the playoffs dancing in his head. Stay Tuned....
