The Saints even if they win this week will have 13 wins with 3 to play. All are NFC contests. So in theory (and IMHO only in theory) the Saints could finish 13-3 with 3 conference losses finishing with a 9-3 conference record. Since there's no head to head, the second tiebreaker is conference record.
So at minimum, the Saints would have to win this week, the 'queens would have to lose, and the Saints would have to secure two more victories after that (or only one if the 'queens lose another of their last 3 games). At minimum we're play through the Dallas game. Most likely we'll have to play through the Bucs too. Only then can we look at rest. This isn't a bad thing. It keeps the team sharp. The only problem is that the longer the starters are out, the higher the probability of something going wrong. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
