Well we gave it a shot. Can\'t blame Loomis, he did try, but I\'m sure a few will.

Damn he would of helped. I don\'t think anyone will shout till the terms are released. If he went for a song and the Saints lowballed, which I doubt, I\'d be pissed but if he choose the Bills for similar money, oh well. It was good to see them at least try for one marquee free agent ,wish we had done it sooner wih a LB. On to Seattle and lets get it done.

Bills | Milloy Contract Details - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 3 Sep 2003 14:49:09 -0700

Updating previous reports, Don Banks, of SI.com, reports while the Buffalo Bills have disclosed no contract figures, the deal with free agent SS Lawyer Milloy (Patriots) is believed to be for three years, at $12.25 million, including a $4.75 million signing bonus and a $2 million base salary this season. The contract averages just more than $4 million per season.

I would think the Saints offered him similar money, but he simply decided to stay up North.

I\'m okay with not signing him. I think that the price was too high for a safety of that age. Also, I \'m uncomfortable with us investing so much cash in the two safty positions when we have other glaring needs.

Start Bellamy, sign a young backup and keep your fingers crossed.

Peachy. Now we can get back to talking about Aaron Brooks, the coaching staff, and the defense. I don\'t think we\'ve fully explored those three topics yet.

Ok, so B&B tell me. Is it still your opinion that AB is just a special ed student that should have been left in school to finish the third grade? :P

for all of the article click above...

The four-year contract is worth $15 million, nearly two-thirds of that in the first two seasons of the deal. Milloy will receive a $5 million signing bonus and base salaries of $2 million for 2003 and $2.75 million for 2004. The Washington Redskins, who finished as the runner-up team in the Milloy sweepstakes, offered about $6 million in the first two years of their proposal.
