Blame goes every which a way, on this game, and no one did their job on either side of the field. I have my opinion, and I'm keeping it. Defense plays better, doesn't give up all of those long passes to Austin, and who knows.

I get what you're saying, but, would you consider the 13 minute difference in "time of possession " last night the defense's fault or the offense for committing 3 turnovers and for basically being stagnant for 3 quarters?

The D was put in bad positions all night by the offense. When it was 14-0 Payton could still have controlled the game.

I can't believe this thread is still alive. Is there anyway to bump a thread to the back??

I don't even remember who started this thread. Wasn't me. I thought the entire secondary sucked it up last night, not just Malcom. I will agree to disagree, and call it a night on this thread. Besides, Minnesota just clinched another loss, with Favre's interception. I guess we do get a Mulligan after all huh?

Jenkins is a rookie who will get better. The team might not know yet if he will be a CB or FS.

Our hands are tied in this situation as we're forced to start Jenkins because Greer and Porter are out. It's obvious Jenkins is struggling out there... as he has the last 3 games now. It's not physical by any means, he's just not mentally all there during the game... which I think is reminiscent of Jason David and Josh Bullocks in that aspect. Let's just hope our D picks it back up and our guys coming back healthy for the playoffs. It'll allow Jenkins to go back to his dime/special team role where he was much more effective at the beginning of the year... until he shows he's ready enough for a bigger part of the defense.

The whole team played bad Saturday night. Not enough pressure on Romo, yes Jenkins bit on a pump and was burned by Austin it happens to every db in the game. The whole team is to be blamed not just 1 individual. Because if you want to blame just 1 player I'll start with the dropped td pass to Devery which took away what could have been a momentum swing.

Malcolm Jenkins is more of what Robert Massey was when he got toasted by Flipper Anderson. Afterwards, Massey got it together and became All-Pro. Time will tell on what kind of player Jenkins would become after he had a "Flipper-like" experience from Miles Austin. Jason David was just another Elvis Patterson.

I remember the poster said he was too slow to play corner and people here were dissing that person and asking what "credentials" he had to be able to make that statement. For the past few weeks, in almost every opposing team's highlight plays you can see that number 27 getting burned. He was so bad tonight we would have been better off playing 10 on defense. I'll never doubt that poster's "credentials" again. He was right.

I appreciate that. I could not have been more fervent that Jenkins was a FS and not a corner. I got into many debates over 40 times. It's good to be right sometimes.

The loss was obviously not Jenkis fault. He is a rookie, but mark my words, he's not a CB. He is being put in a pretty tough situation, so I don't blame him or compare him to JD at all. He has made some SPECTACULAR plays for us this year on ST and a few good plays on D this year. I think he will be a Pro Bowl FS in time.

Having said that, Charles Grant is like a freaking apparition out there. He's either hurt or losing it.

Props to Vilma, Porter, and Will Smith for MANNING UP and playing a hell of a game.

Harper has the worst hands in our secondary. His dropped pick was just inexcuseable.

Total agreement..i wont defend anybody that cant do thier job..but M.J is playing the wrong job..and will shine like a new set of guitar strings as a free safety..lol
