Re: Ok its the morning after and one thing i dont understand
Is anyone really surprised that Bushrod had a hard time preventing probowl DE Demarcus Ware from getting to Brees? The man had 20 sacks last year to lead the league. Jammal Brown would have struggled against Ware too.
Bushrod is the next goat and I understand that but he certainly doesn't deserve all the blame. He needed help last night. |

bushrod went up against one of the elite pass rushers in the NFL and got schooled. lets see how he bounces back next week then hang the guy. Still not sold on him or Brown at LT.
hmmm round 2 of the draft.... Sam Young, Notre Dame 6-7, 318, 5.20 round 3 Selvish Capers, West Virginia, 6-6, 289, 4.91 |

Right Strato where was the help. Ware was a game time decision but when he hit the field it was time to adjust. That is on the Coaching staff to adjust especially when the pressure was consistent. Most of the game Brees was running for his life, the staff has a better view of the game than we do.

It's just like the Panthers did tonite, to the mullet, put a tight end over there, to help pass block. Dinkins is our blocking TE, stick him in there. Couldn't have hurt, that's for sure.

hell yeah, '76. I agree, and I love your optimism. Look at all the things that had to happen for a team to beat us. ...and they still barely won.
The glass is nearly full. I, too, would have thrown in Strief and to see what he could do. Ware was just on fire, much like Julius Peppers last night. I dont know what happened to our backfield support. Tell you another reason to be happy. Brees could have been pretty badly hurt on that one where Ware slammed him to the turf-- on his throwing shoulder. The Vikings lose last night. We're 13-1, and still top seed. I think I lost 2 lbs. almost done Christmas shopping. Its a good day. |

The blocking help was all in the bench or is in IR: Evans, Reggie, Shockey...
I think we tend to overlook the blocking of Shockey but especially the blocking of Reggie and the presence of Reggie on the field. I love PT but if there's one thing PT cannot do as evidenced last Saturday night, is block. |
