Re: Cowboys 24 Saints 17 where was the breakdown for the Saints?
The offensive line had there issues but for the most part the gaurd and center play wasn't that bad. The tackles and running backs are a totally different story, yes we saw Bushrod get beat all night but there were plays that Peirre Thomas was supposed to pick up a blitzing linebacker that was coming up the middle and missed, supposed to chip the defensive end and did nothing. It was pretty much known by all that Bushrod couldn't handle Ware by himself, Where was the Help?
I said this earlier, IMO Shockey was missed more for his blocking ability than his pass catching. |

When the Cowboys play up to their abilities, they are a good team. They were playing for their season. Throw in the Saints not playing a good game and you have the outcome. Just like any team in the NFL, if you don't show up, if you turn the ball over and don't create any turnovers, or you simply don't play your best, you can be beat.

Unbelievable that we've been putting Strief over with Bushrod all season except against Dallas. Big Fat F- on that one Sean Dinkins and Strief should have been in a lot more once Spencer and Ware fired up.

I knew we were screwed when the Times-Picayune ran a love story for Corporate Johnny (Benson); they need to keep Rita front and center...that brunette has some good karma...

The break down with the Saints came before they ever set foot on the field. They walked into the game like they all had the flu. No one including Drew Brees had any fire to them. It looked like a Zombie movie out there. Nobody showed any signs of life until late in the game.

On every play the are 10 or 11 battles going on,we're not going to win them all,but when you get to the 4th qtr. and you're down by 3 or 4(had to figure the cowboys would get at least another field goal) scores,I can think of no reason to let our offense huddle...I watched OUR coach piss away 2-4 min. with poor clock management...If we'd had 3-4min. for that last drive,we could've had a lot better options against there aggressive pass rush....I'm not saying we didn't have problems with our O-line or in giving up some big 3rd dwns.,but by not going to the hurry-up, a HUGE opportunity was squandered. We hardly deserved the win,and still could've...Yes, we were down early, and were losing most of those individual battles, but if there's one thing this team as shown me this yr.,that I've not seen in the 16yrs. I've been in NOLA,is stamina...They haven't given up,and shame on the Who Dats, who got discouraged early....In 641 we're on our feet, and screamin our asses off for EVERY Def. play...."We might have lost that game, But dey can't keep us down,,Da Black & Gold,Gonna be Miami Bound.....WHO DAT!!!!!

O-Line basically got owned! D-Line & D-Backs were so so! Game planning needs a little work.
