2 things I can figure is that we have some trick plays in our FG kicking that Paytong doesn't want to give up.
The other is there a potential play off team in need of a kicker? |

I had a feeling this would happen when they made the announcement. Every time Payton talks about Carney you tell how much respect he has for the guys professionalism.

I love this move. This means Carney is still part of the team, I really hated for him to be released after all he has done this year. This guy bailed the Saints out of a nasty situation early in the season, and really did a nice job kicking. To me it looked like he wore down as the season went on, so it did make sense for Hartley to resume duties.
