Guys, don't give up just yet. History should tell you that every team goes through a slump during the season, yes, the Saints did pick the most awful time for one. But, not all is lost yet. Still in the playoffs with a first week bye, still have three chances at getting home field advantage throughout. Minnesota still has two tough games left on their schedule, and Saints can beat Carolina and finish it too.

I know this was a tough loss, but remember, it is against a division team, a team that should be much better going into 2010 as they continue to rebuild. If the Saints can at least play like they want it against Carolina, win or lose, they still have two weeks to get players healthier, and two weeks for coaches to try and fix this thing.

Re: You Gotta Have Faith . . .

The Saints can beat every team they play. That certainly hasn't always been the case. Everyone enjoyed the magical 13-0 start. Reality is now starting to set in. There are many issues. The head coach has a history of not calling the best game and making some bad decisions. He will always be pass heavy. Injuries. My guess is the Saints are high if not at the top on the list of lost games by it's starters. Greer has to come back ready for the playoffs. The defense can't stop the run or pressure the QB consistently. The front four alone gets no push. Outside of Vilma, the LB's are not good. Special teams coverage units are bad. The punter has done a great job on kickoffs and punts so far which has hidden this weakness most of the time. Field goal kicking is a toss up. All that said, these Saints CAN ABSOLUTELY get to the Super Bowl. But, I won't be shocked if they don't.

Re: You Gotta Have Faith . . .

All Saints fans, deep down, have faith in their team. Otherwise they wouldn't keep rooting for them year in year out and that includes me. But, we have just lost to a really poor, 2-12, sorry, 3-12 team and that hurts, especially when we all know how good that Saints can be and have been this season. Lets hope they put things right against the Panthers and then we can all be saying, Yeah! Never doubted them, knew we would be ok, etc. etc. LOL. Cheer up everyone, at least we ARE in the playoffs!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!
