The media, and fans of most every other team in the league, will always doubt us. "Same old Saints", is a common saying amongst the non believers. The thing that makes no sense to me, is yes, I agree our history has not been that great, but it hasn't been that bad either. Not to mention the 1981 Saints team, and the 2009 Saints team, have nothing in common, except the name: Saints.
The only way, this kind of thinking will ever stop completely, and everyone will officially STHU, is for them to go all the way, and win the superbowl. Anything less than that, and next year, will be the same way. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. |
