It was definite improvement against a really good running team. We need to cut out the big plays and try to keep the D of the field every now and then.

I agree. I think brunnell played himself out of a job. I'm not sure who's gonna be available in the off season.

from what i saw the D line got a great push on most instances and kept stewart in the backfield. As was said, with the exception of the long run this was one of the better D performance from the last month.
On the backup QB front, i'd be very happy with chase daniel being the permanant backup, think about it - if anyone saw how dominant he was at missouri they would know. PLUS!! he has the same attributes as brees, not the tallest guy, but moves his feet well in the pocket and most importantly he is accurate. (sounds uncannily like brees doesn't it) If theres anyone that can teach a young QB how to work with the attributes he has, it is a seasoned veteran who has gone through the exact same thing. Ladies and gentlemen - we have that in brees!! |
