this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I really like this guy. He has impressed me as really analyzing what is going on and not just re-hashing what everyone else is saying. Anyway, you guys will love what he has to say. He's not following the crowd. ...

Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
I really like this guy. He has impressed me as really analyzing what is going on and not just re-hashing what everyone else is saying. Anyway, you guys will love what he has to say. He's not following the crowd.

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
I'm not sure what to say really. This is the absolute first piece of national media I have seen/heard about this game without the mention of "3 straight losses". Good job Dilfer on taking a new perspective. And I agree with his analysis.

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
Dilfer is a much better analyst than he was a football player.

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
This guy has been saying for several weeks, even while they were losing, that the Saints were going to the Superbowl. He is the only one. Everybody else on ESPN has been dropped the Saints like a hot potato while this guy has been steady. He sees what we see, that if they come out to play, nobody can beat the Saints.

Trent must read the computer rankings.
USATODAY.com Even Las Vegas has us as the Odds on Favorite to win the Superbowl from the NFC. I'm going with Trend and Vegas on this one. Super Bowl Odds - Odds to win 2010 Super Bowl |

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
i know that our opinion of analysts and how well they do their jobs are greatly effected by their opinions of the new orleans saints
i like dilfer....but i also like several other analysts that dont think we are hot ****.....its all about how they carry themselves and the information they use to back up some of their ridiculous claims i like mark schlereth because he knows what it means to play smash mouth football.....hes an old school guy and he doesnt like the cry babies and wimps that play in the NFL now.....he pretty much hates the saints but he almost always has a good reason for why he picks against us and it usually has something to do with how the game actually turned out |

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
How I see it is this. If I watch a guy's video and here the same thing from thirty other guys with nothing new added he sucks.
If I get a fresh take and new information (even if it doesn't favor the Saints) I at least respect the fact the guy is doing a little homework. It doesn't matter what Dilfer was like as a QB. I like what the guy has been saying all year both pro and con because it's obvious to me that he looks a little deeper. |

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
i am another that likes the fact that he looked beyond the 3 loses. the saints have had success against warner, he studied stats on kurt fumbling the roc when we get coverage, he holds the ball that extra half second we need to get will smith, & company to blast his old ass.

Re: Trent Dilfer's analysis!!
Agreed. Guys that just look at the W-L columns and don't take the time to understand WHY we lost and what's DIFFERENT now get no respect from me.
