This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Hello Saint fans! As you can tell by my username, I am a Packer fan. This week, I ask your permission to become part of the Who Dat Nation.
I have long appreciated the city of New Orleans, since I visited with my family. when I was 11. (I am now 21, and hope to be going down their again in March with my university to help build homes. I am very excited). I generally have a bad memory, but from my trip I remember the people of New Orleans to be very hospitable and kind. After such a great visit, I tried to catch as many Saint games as I could back home in Wisconsin. I remember watching Jeff Blake, Aaron Brooks, Willie Jackson, Horn, Knight etc. Fastforward to the mid 2000s. Although I wouldn't call myself a Saint "fan," after the Packers, I enjoy watching the Saints play the most. Brees, Bush etc on that turf make for exciting games. My good experience in New Orleans 11 years ago makes it easy to root for you guys. And so with that said, I would like to be part of the Who Dat nation this week, and possibly beyond. (Of course, it helps you are playing the Vikings. ;) ). I truly hope the Saints can bring the people of New Orleans what the deserve - a Vince Lombardi Trophy. As a Packer fan who has been waiting 13 years for another title, here is some advice - savor this time. Bask in the glory of your teams success, and be proud of them, and be proud to be a SAINTS FAN, win or lose on Sunday. Because you never know when they will be back there again. Thats about all I have to say. For those of you going to the game, be LOUD. To those of you at home and at the bar, be loud as well. Remember why you became and why you remain a Saint fan. If it's true that good things come to those who wait, then the city of New Orleans shall be rewarded in a few weeks. http://www.sewnola.com/images/products/bless_md.jpg Godspeed, Saints. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
I welcome you to the who dat nation. Some folks will be upset over the folks jumping on this late in the season but not me.
But you must practice hard this week. You got a lot of work to do to keep up with the rest of us :) |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
You can be part of Whodat nation if you stop using terms like "Fastforward."
I have a cheesehead hat as my honorary Pack support, so get a beer and some gumbo, then you're in. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.

Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
One of my best friends is a die-hard Packer fan.
She asked me if she could be a temporary fan this week because she hates the Viqueens and Brent Favre. I gave her a week pass. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.

Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
I'm good with it. Just don't forget us next year. Saints and their fans are the team with the biggest heart in the NFL! With that said.......welcome!
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Anyone who wants to be a Saints fan at any time is fine with me, not that you need my permission but you'll get no problem from this direction.
'And when God threw down his spear and heard the WhoDat Nation cheer. Did he smile, his work to see? Did he who made the lamb make Brees? (Apologies to William Blake) |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Yeah now come help me deal with these Viqueen trolls on the Smack board...lol
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Who Freakin' Dat!!!
Welcome aboard. After that panzy last TD thrown by the Vikqueens in the game last week I bet the fans of 31 teams are jumping on the Saints bandwagon. And I can't blame them one bit. Glad to have them! :band: |

Welcome aboard, Packerfan! You can ride this train anytime you want.
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Count me in too, lifelong Packer fan and lifelong Viking hater. Cheered for the Saints big time in the playoffs in '06 and hoping they can go further this year. I hate the Vikings with such a passion that a Saints win would mean *almost* as much as a Packer NFCC game win (not quite but as close as you can get!)
I'm so sick and tired of Brent Favore I want to see you guys treat him like a rag doll, just like you did to Warner on Saturday. Good luck on Sunday!!! |

If I were Jerry Jones I would fire Wade Phillips for saying it was classless. The entire city of Dallas should be embarrassed by their Brokeback Cowboys whining. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Gumbeau, I'm all for someone buying the Cowboys team and moving them to Los Angeles. Then I won't have to hear about Romo, Jerry Jones, or the new stadium anymore.
Brooking has about as much reason to cry as Romo does because the Vikings defense ran DOWN the score on the Cryboys offense. Shut up and do what you are paid for. For all anyone knows, someone could have told Brett "hey, you need just one more td in a game to set a personal record" and that's why he threw it. Favre knew this was the last game he was playing at home this season and possibly in his career. Again. For the third year running. |

I'm okay with Favre's negative karma. So I'm glad he did it. But he now has to deal with the backlash which is good for the Saints. Some additional questions the Vikes have to answer all week. Thumbs up. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Suck a head and nobody here will bother you. :-)
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Now that your are in the Who Dat nation. You have to walk up to other Saints fans and yell"WHO DAT!!!!". You'll get love back.
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Welcome aboard, Packer Fan. I have a lot of respect for the Packers' organization. I was one of the few people down here in my neck of the woods of Louisiana that thought Aaron Rodgers would be a good QB. I really like the way he plays the game.
Get crunk with the rest of us Saints' fans as we attempt to chop down the Purple Monster this Sunday! |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.

Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Welcome, welcome, welcome.... AH HAH AHAH, Did anyone else see that????? When Boldin was doing that speech about it being the first quarter, and the guy behind him goes "Look at the scoreboard!" Heh heh heh... That was classic!

Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Damn they just showed the Warner INT. What a hit
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Yes. That was a beautiful thing. Before I saw the replay, I actually felt bad for Warner. But when you are trying to make a tackle, as a QB, it might be best to just get outta the way.

I like the Packers. At Least you guys don't have to worry about someone selling your team.
Have fun rooting for the serious underdogs--Never won an NFC championship and never been to the Superbowl. We are in for a ride. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Welcome!! This wouldn't have anythng to do with Favre playing for the Viks would it??

But still, welcome to the Who Dat Nation, if only for a short time. I believe you will appreciate what you see on Sunday. Then Brett Favre can go quietly into retirement, back to his homestead in Kiln, MS. |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
Its never too late to become a Who Dat. Welcome to the BnG.
|
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply to all the replies in this thread. I have been very busy with college.
Thank you for all the kind words that followed my post. You all are a special bunch. What a game the NFC Championship turned out to be! I was so incredibly happy for Hartley when he made that kick. I am here to say good luck on Sunday! Although I am a big Peyton Manning fan, I am rooting for you guys on Sunday. I'll be back after the game, and next year as well, when I will have more free time. Thanks again, and congrats! GEAUX SAINTS! |
Re: This week, I ask to be part of the Who Dat Nation.
