this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; OK, I just have to add this, all the restaurant advice is great, Mothers is perfect for breakfast, really need to check that out, but have none of you ever had a Muffaletta at Central Grocery? They are the BEST! ...

OK, I just have to add this, all the restaurant advice is great, Mothers is perfect for breakfast, really need to check that out, but have none of you ever had a Muffaletta at Central Grocery?
They are the BEST! But of course you have to like muffaletta's... the atmosphere in the store is cool, old stuff from a hundred years ago on the shelves, you feel like you stepped back in time or something. They have been in business there since 1906. They are NOT open on Sunday's though. ![]() |

Mike, if nicebush25 is a no-show you can bet I'll be decked out. Heading to the store after work to get ready for the weekend. It's hard to make a Honda Accord intimidating though.

All those places listed above, I have enjoyed at some time or other. We were in New Orleans for the (ugh) Dallas game, and I really enjoyed Acme Oyster Bar again. They seem to be pretty consistent! Once I saw Marshall Faulk in there just before we beat the Rams in the playoff game. We went to K-Paul's the night before the Dallas game, and they seated Wade Phillips and his family right next to us for dinner. You just nevah know who you'll run into!

Cafe du Monde Mothers Pralines those are the "don't miss no matter what when you're in NOLA" for me. |
