The trouble with stats... is they don't take into account the strength of opponents. Ya'll might take this wrong... but the AFC is stronger than the NFC. It has been for a while. I know the Saints are good. But overall the NFC is a weaker conference than the AFC.

If you check the stats.. the AFC has a 10 game win advantage over the NFC in head to head games this season.

From a winning % standpoint... the AFC South is the toughest division in football, winning 38 games this year. The NFC South won only 33 games.

That skews the naked stats some. How much? Anyone's guess.

I think the oddsmakers are right on, as they usually are. The Colts have an advantage here and probably should be favored. By no means does that mean it's a lock. They play the games for a reason, and that is ANYTHING can, and often does happen.

Who was it that broke the Saints winning streak? Oh yeah Dallas... Ok they were a quality team this year, as much as I despise the Cowboys. Point is... the Saints are a lot BETTER team and still lost to them.

It's gonna be fun guys... and in a situation like this... I am gonna be happy for whoever wins.

Good luck... but not TOO good.

If the game comes down to field goals, the edge has to go to Stover over Hartley.

This is interesting but I'm not sure that most of these stats are that telling because the game doesn't occur in a vacuum. The important thing will be the stats when the teams play against one another.

They're still fun to talk about though... especially when we're on a two week no football, cold turkey, drought.

the main thing i got from the numbers and the main reason i posted them to all forums i could get into was they illustrated just how close both teams were
being near mirror images of each other
anyone expecting a blowout will be disappointed.

Great numbers Supes...I love these numbers. They are good for trending, forcasting, speculation and a bunch of other stuff I won't mention. This team sport, 11-on-11, sometimes comes down to 1-on-1 match ups, and playing in the moment. There are days when the game slows down and the action unfolds in slow motion, and you are ahead of the curve on every play (ie McKenzie against NE, Reggie against NYJ). The team with the most players that make plays at crucial times and pivotal moments will win the Superbowl. I hope we can overcome all the hype, survive the 45 minute half-time, are better prepared, and want it more than the Colts.

I'll take Hartley. He is just getting started. The kid has skills.

I've heard how long he kicks at practice.

Yet ANOTHER great choice by our Coach, imo.
