Re: Concerns about Brees' Playoff Performances

in 4 playoff games for the saints......drew has thrown 9 TD passes and 1 INT

he is completing over 60% of his passes in those games

his passer rating is 102.2

Averaging 260 yards per game in those 4 games

7 sacks(1 this postseason)

the only thing you need to worry about is his pass attempts in this game

if he has to throw 40 passes this game, we likely will not win......when we dont commit to running the ball, the team struggles to put up points because the defense will know what we are doing

we had good balance this post season and offseason and need to continue it against the colts 24th ranked rush defense

they can stop a team that is 1 dimensional...but not a team that can do both

Canton beat me to it. His stats for this year are 6TDs no INTs or Fumbles. 1 sac. Those are the kind of numbers that win games.

Canton's correct. Plus the Saints scored 31 pts in the game.

My concerns are in two areas. Stadium and grass. If I recall historically we do well on neither.

We have our greatest comeback in history in that stadium on grass and it happened this season so I think we will be fine in Miami. Drew did miss a couple of open receivers but he will be fine in the superbowl.:bng:

It was pointed out by Mr. Aikman himself that something wasn't right...before that I had told my wife after just a couple of attempts that he was off. I believe that the injury word was used by Troy when he was speculating as to what might be wrong. All I know is that he didn't look like the archer splitting the tree to me the other night...

Well Drew had a very good game against Arizona until the illegal hit. After that I thought he was off so maybe that had something to do with it. To be fair, Drew was up against a very good defence in the Vikings. Despite that, he was sufficiently controlled to keep us in a game the Vikings were hoping to break open to 2 scores. Yep, there were more incompletes that I would have liked. But forst and foremost, he did not commit the errors that a lesser QB would have under the circumstances. I say that Drew will not let the Saints down if he has the likes of Shockey back for the every offensive snap and he has Colston, Meachem, and Henderson, perhaps Moore close to fitness and ready to play.
