I'm sorry - I agree. Drew seems to have the jitters. Is it the extra paint on the ball, the pressure, nerves? I don't know - BUT He had better figure it out & rectify the problem before the 7th!!

Hard for Brees to trust WR's that are not only just now returning to the game but suddenly have forgotten how to hold on to the ball, he's been scrambling to get the ball out to the best hands available, no necessarily the most open guy.

Watch the video's again, notice how there's sometimes a couple of guys open but Brees looks the other way, waits, pace around, scrambles a bit and make a decision to just either get the ball out or finally see the guy he knows will catch the ball.

I agree, I think Brees tends to get scared at times in big games, or just after a few hits. How many times did you see Favre sit in there and take a BEATING, but he still got the ball to a reciever -- whereas Brees, not so much. Alot of 3 and outs after balls were sailing out of reach. Then again, there were some dropped passes, but you still can't deny that he was off.

"Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. ~Aaron Levenstein

There are a number of stories by professional sportswriters commenting about Drew's seeming problems in the Vikings game. There is a lot of speculation why it's happening, but more than just a few board-junkies like us have seen it. I don't know what's wrong, but something is.

True: There were drops by our receivers. Also True: There were more incomplete passes due to errant throws.
True: Drew didn't throw any picks against the Vikes. Also True: He got lucky on two very bad throws. On one, the CB had a sure pick but the Vikes LB tried for the ball and knocked it away. On the other, he overthrew Colston so badly (as he did three other times) that Colston wound up tipping the ball into the hands of three Vikings players and none of them could come up with it.

As an aside, if he's hurt but not badly enough to miss practice - I think it's smart for the organization not to say anything.
