It's time to play the game
Two weeks between games and here it is, day 10 and the whole thing is getting ridiculous. Every year, the same ole shinola, trite reporting on trivial matters, wild opinions by lazy "analysts" and utter saturation to the point where you stop caring.
We can't even get a good discussion going here because we're all being drowned out by the incessant coverage. Everyone is in id mode, reacting with our reptilian brains to whatever monumentally moronic observation or silly stunt going on in Miami. Every day, I scan the posts, looking for a really good argument, and there's nothing but dreck (no offense to those who are truly trying to provide insight.) Why not just play the game 1 quarter each day? That way we can dissect something meaningful and extract the maximum nonsense out of the whole affair. We can adjust Football to be like Cricket! Anyway, does anyone have SOMETHING interesting to say? PLEASE!! |

Re: It's time to play the game
I have the flu. Been bed ridden for the past three days, so I am enjoying all of it. It's not every year, the Saints are in the Superbowl. Let the players focus on the game, and let the fans enjoy the ride, is how I see it.

Be patient. Just remember, every day that goes by is another day Shockey has to reach 100%. We need all our players at 100%. We can sacrafice a few more days. We've waited forty three years for this, what's four more days.

I'm just biding my time till Saturday, when I fly down to NOLA with wife and kiddo. Praying we don't get bad winter weather than delays me terribly.
