Re: Officials

The referees stayed out of the game, pretty much. Good job! The game was decided by the players making plays. Black&Gold showed that they ARE the best team in the NFL - convincingly.

Re: Officials

Lol I've seen on our arch nemesis's forum (the falcons) that they thought they should have called a block in the back on Porters return(the block on Manning). From my vantage point it wasn't a block in the back, but Manning trying to block with his back... big difference. He moved into the block(I think he was trying to get a call or something).

That block was completely legal. I just wish Smith would have hit him harder. Like a Warner part 2.

I wish he would have used mannings head to create a hole in the ground. His head is shaped like a mallet.

Re: Officials

The officiating overall was great. No picky calls just letting the guys play. I though a little more pushing and shoving was allowed than usual but thats the way it should be in a SB.

Re: Officials

I am a Manning fan, as everyone knows...but because he chose Tennessee I am much more of an Eli fan. I was an Ole Miss fan before I ever heard the word Manning.

I guess I'm trying to justify what I'm about to say...but Peyton had transitioned from nice and humble to nice and a little smug. Porter's pick completely wiped the smugness off his face...and to me...that was priceless.
