I have a strand of black and Gold beads that I got from New Orleans with the Saints Fleur-de-lis. The beads broke the week of the Washington game. I glued them back together right before the Dallas game. They ended up breaking again the week we had our bye in Playoffs. I took it as a sign and decided to leave them and not bother trying to fix them. I consider them my lucky beads.

i woke up early yesterday, climbed into the attic and dug through old boxes while braving the insulation and freezing cold to dig out some old mardi gras beads. everyone that came over was wearing them. success!

We had gotten a bag of Zapps "Who Dat" potato chips from back home in La., which I was hanging onto for a special moment. When the Colts got the ball for (what ended up being) their last possession of the first half I said "It's time to open a bag of Who Dat on them Colts!" Opened the bag, ate some chips and everything was uphill from there. True story.

I've been wearing my Saints tee from 99 (the year of our 1st playoff win) every week. Also taught my 2 year old daughter to chant "Reggie, Reggie, Reggie!" & "It's gonna be touchdown, after touchdown, after touchdown, after touchdown!" Brought her with me to the viewing party. Also, unlike the last 3 seasons (because I have in-laws there), I did not step one FOOT on the unholy ground that is Atlanta this season. Lastly, & sorry if this is TMI, I wore Fleur de les boxers every week this

I'm old and grey and have been a hat guy most of my adult life.
Being outside a lot is mostly the reason. That skin cancer thing
can be serious risk if you are an outdoorman kinda guy.

Anyway, with very few exceptions, I've been a Saints hat guy for decades
no matter where I've lived. That includes LA, Texas, Fla, Ohio, Indiana, California,
Illinois and even other countries such as the Dominican Republic for a few summers, many years ago.

My long winded point is I've been a walking billboard for the Saints most
of my adult life and I wore the oldest, most skanky hat I still have to watch the game.

It isn't the reason we won. The passion of the Saints roster is why.
The brilliance of the Coaching staff is why.
