However, beginning to think that all this is a deep draft the Redskins should be considered as a potential trade partner to grab an impact player by moving Jamaal Brown to swap No. 1's and pick up an additonal R3 pick...
Not sold on the swapping #1 picks part ... maybe if they give us a number one...thusly we have two number one's.

There's no way they trade a top five pick straight up for J Brown; that's why I said we'd have to swap picks and pick up their R3 pick (maybe R2 pick)...

Re: 2010 NFL Draft

theres no way we give up brown and a #1 to move up 10 or so spots to pick a player who may not be worth it

we know brown is worth a #1.......thats been proven by his pro bowl status

we also know with him in the lineup we allow the least amount of sacks in the league.....we dont have a LT if we get rid of brown.....

there is no reason to trade brown at all.....we just dont have the kind of depth to do something that stupid

I think there is one Mr. Bushrod that would say...

[2009 - vs. Detroit (9/13): Inactive while recovering from sports hernia and hip surgeries. at Philadelphia (9/20): Inactive with the hip injury. at Buffalo (9/27): Inactive with the hip injury. Placed on injured reserve, 9/29
...and we only won a SB without him!

***Newsflash***

Jammal Brown Out for Season...Saints Win Superbowl

Saints didn't have him all season and yet still had depth and adequate play...

Look, he's about to become a FA and we can't afford to tie up that much money in a natural RT playing LT...

which is why you trade 'em and get either a younger, elite LT in R1 or pick up one in the draft or FA with a more acceptable contract...

and are you going to sign Brown, an older injured player, tying up funds that you'll need to retain someone like Carl Nicks?

and Drew Brees has shown that the quarterback is as important to a low sack total statistic as the Left Tackle (Right-handed Quarterback)...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2010 NFL Draft

yep the saints will have to move ahead of the falclowns to have a shot at any of the top OLB this year. The pats will definitely scoop up the leftovers after them. If we stand pat then no way will we get either.

Everson Griffen, USC?

Re: 2010 NFL Draft

Walter Jones of Seattle was a ProBowl tackle; had an injury; Seattle gave him a big fat contract and let Hutchinson geaux to Minnesota; Jones career went south and took Shaun Alexander with him...

Sound familiar?

Got to sign guys as they trend upward; Brown's value will never be higher and it's just time...

hutchinson left

nicks did not

in fact......nicks is just beginning to reach the prime of his career.....he will help brown a lot

there isnt a single thing that bushrod does better than brown and there isnt a single tackle in this draft that looks like they could protect drew's blind side

and why would we pick a LT when we need players at DT, DE, and LB? no reason to trade a player that we need for an unproven draft pick
