Saints Sign Players?

It makes me wonder what the benefit of signing them now could be? I don't remember us doing this before.

With all the restrictions on free-agent signings we have because we won the Superbowl, its probably wise to get as many guys under contract as allowed heading into 2010.

Some say thats why Loomis was so quick to IR so many players, essentially locking them up for 2010.

I'm not sure these 4 fit that reasoning or not, since they didn't actually belong to other clubs.

This whole CBA crap has me confused as hell. But as someone else said, I think Loomis knows what he's doing, because...

Good point, and obviously a great move by Loomis. Last year we were cutiing injured players (Hollis Thomas). This year we locked up 4-5 guys who probably would've been cut later, but have a shot in 2010.
