odds and ends from titans game.
Two things caught my attention I was wandering if anyone else saw.
1. As Tenn was driving at the end of the half there was clock problems but the saints coaching staff never made an issue with it. Tenn completed a pass over the middle for a first down. The clock stopped with 56 seconds. They ran another pass complete and out of bounds for about another 5+ yds. only 2 seconds ran off the clock. Before the next play the time on the clock was put back to 1:01. ????? 2. did Brooks re-injure his shoulder on his run on the last drive of the game? Brooks scrambled and ran to the right side line where he was hit near the sticks. When he got up he was favoring the shoulder. The next play was a 10 yd out route that brooks short hopped at 5 yds or so. The next pass play was a longer pass to the other side I thought he had a problem throwing. Then the hard sandwich hit came and Brooks obviously was holding his right arm. 3. Saints had a 3rd down at around the Tenn 40. Brooks felt pressure and threw the ball out of bounds. saints punted on 4th down. Why didn't Brooks launch the pass downfield? So what if its intercepted if he throws it deep. Might have gotten an interference call but by throwing the ball out of bounds didn't give the team a chance at anything. [Edited on 22/9/2003 by FWtex] |
