Saints looking at Bethea?
Indianapolis placed a first-round tender on Bethea in hopes of discouraging teams from making an offer to the restricted free agent. But an NFL source has told me that the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints are still actively showing interest in paying that price

Re: Saints looking at Bethea?
Bethea is a talented player. He's good against the run and the pass. I watched quite a few Colts games this year and he was solid and makes some pretty nice plays. He rarely gets burned and plays his position well. I know we were burned by JD coming over from the Colts, but Bethea is head and shoulders above him as far as talent and skill. I don't know if a 1st rounder is the way to go unless the Saints have something in the works to unload some of these restricted players for draft picks. If that was the case, I would say snag this guy in a heartbeat and give up the #32 pick in the draft, but that would be the only way.

Re: Saints looking at Bethea?
My take is they are interviewing Sharper replacements as a little reminder to Darren that he isn't the only safety out there
would be a nice smack in the face to Indy if they offer a first round tender and then end up getting the lowest possible first rounder in return |

Re: Saints looking at Bethea?
If they say we have interest or he is planning a visit it means he will have signed with someone else...seems to be the trend in the offseason

Re: Saints looking at Bethea?
I mentioned this in a earlier thread, that one of Sharper's destinations, once his surgery heals up, is Dallas. I don't know if that's just a rumor or not, but we all know how Jerry Jones is with spending money. After all of the BS, Sharper probably doesn't even want to come back, and really, I can't blame him.
