The REAL Problem?????
I think the Saints' major problem right now is still on the defensive side of the ball. However, I have to qualify this with couple of remarks because I don't know which is true.
Either: 1. McCarthy is an idiot that is over-thinking his role and playing into the hands of the opponents because he believes his offense is so great. (i.e., Mike Martz when the Rams played the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Everyone believed the Rams would win because they were the team to beat, but Martz refused to utilize Faulk like he should have and they lost. My feelings are that Martz did that to show that he could win without going to Faulk all the time.) OR 2. Haslet has told McCarthy to be conservative and do everything he can to eat up the clock so the other team wont be able to score as often on our defense. I firmly believe that this offense is still capable of scoring 25-30 points every game, but if they did that the defense would start giving up 25-30 points per game. We all know Haslet and Venturi dont want that. My feelings are that it is the second opinion above that is the most accurate. This offense CAN score, but the defense hasn't shown me anything except in one half of play against the Texans that makes feel like they are any better than last year. If McCarthy continues to call the games the way he has this season, we are in for a ton of embarrassment. |

The REAL Problem?????
As far as \'m concerned it all starts up front, and our offensive line more often than not has failed miserably so far this season. Every problem we have, including our defensive issues, are secondary to that.

The REAL Problem?????
I think option #2 is more realistic. If that is the case then I\'d say turn the offense loose and let the defense stand on their own. At least we would have a chance to win some games by outscoreing other teams.

The REAL Problem?????
With the injuries on the Titans defensive side of the ball , Haslett most likely thought he could establish a run game with greater ease .

The REAL Problem?????
Yes.
I think this coaching staff is overrated as a whole (See comments from Meuller). They\'ll last one more season tops. Whoever comes in after them will have a great first season - too much talent on this team not to. |

The REAL Problem?????
I am for cleaning house of the coaches. This is not new based on this season either. However I don\'t know if Benson will be ready to take another feast of a head coaching contract back to back. HAZ escapes thanks to the pressure put on Benson to extend him. It may be a complete revamping of the coordinators and asst coaches.

The REAL Problem?????
First of all...
BRING BACK JERRY GLANVILLE!! (I wonder how that comment goes over) Now, yep, I agree, Haz-matic is not the solution. We need to dump him pronto. On our next coaching and GM search (can\'t have one without the other), we need to go OUTSIDE the organization. This is a really novel concept that has been tried before, but it\'s obvious that nobody on the inside is getting things done right. I do wonder if we could get anything by trading T-Sucky? I do wonder what we could get on a Brooks trade? Depending on what things look like by the bye week, I might just be screaming, \"Keep losing, we want Phillip Rivers, or maybe even Eli.\" |

The REAL Problem?????
i do agree that if we stink for the rest of the year, revamp coaching staff, all of it. but we do not need to trade AB, he might be the QB that leads us to the big dance.
