Rings?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I apologize for my ignorance here, but I was wondering do MM, Deuce, and Chris McAllister get rings? Seems that would cement CM's HoF status it seems....

Re: Rings?

My guess is it's at the team's discretion. I would bet that Deuce gets one, and possibly MM. I tend to doubt CM would though. Just my .02

Re: Rings?

Duece should - the rest I don't know. I know they ordered rings for non-players who have been with the team for awhile.

Re: Rings?

Teams can give SB rings to anyone they want.
The league pays for 150 rings. Beyond that, if the team wants to give out more rings, the team pays for those.

Deuce is getting a ring. Bank on it.

Re: Rings?

I reallize that this is a pipe dream, but a huge part of me wishes Deuce would have that knee surgery, and at least attempt to come back next year. He's only 31, and I would love to see him run over DTs, and LBs, just one more freaking year. Once again, pipe dream.

Me too! I would love to have Deuce back on the team for one more year!

Re: Rings?

I don't blame him that he doesn't though. He's had knee problems since he was at Ole Miss. It's gotta be frustrating, considering the career he would have had, had he stayed healthy. I always saw him as a bigger version of Eric Dickerson.

Re: Rings?

I think there is a certain vibe and energy that he brings to the team and the fans when he gets on the field. It sucks that he had such a short career, but I'm happy he spent that time playing for us.

What about us? We all should get a ring!
