Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
this is one of the worst statements ive heard in a while. who cares how much he signed a contract for. bottom line...he is the best DT in the league. Brown is often injured. what good is a pro bowl OT if he cant get on the field. again...we won the superbowl with Bushrod while brown was on IR. our weakness is obvioulsy our Def. im not sure what saints games you were watching but bushrod is easily a starter. Sure he got beat by two or three guys all year long but i can promise that brown has gotten beat the same amount of times per year. every move bushrod made was magnified because of the fact that he was a 2nd stringer. Get Brown and his lingering knee/groin problems outta here and give me the best DT in the league.

im all for big talented DTs but not for that much money
if it hurts to have a player on the field then he is not worthy of starting....look at jason david.....just because we won the super bowl without brown does not mean we are a better team without brown if you believe that we are better without brown then there is no sense in arguing this point anyway
i know i watched all but 4 games this season....and i know nearly every snap i had my eyes glued to the offensive line......where were your googly eyes fixed on? id bet money you were watching the ball......eh? |

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
1st off you didnt even see every game last year and your spouting off stats- this alone should discredit your argument
2ndly- bushrod was not the reason we won and i dont think there has ever been a superbowl or even a regular game at any level ever won my an OT. 3rdly- there is no point in talking to you if you dont think we would be a better team with haynesworth starting on the Dline. "he played 12 games last year"...so what!...the core players on our D were injured for at least 4 games. Please tell me how the #1 offense in the league suffered from using bushrod. the man shut down some of the best DE in the league and gave up only 1 sack in the playoffs and superbowl to the D lines in the league |

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
I think the point to be made here is, that the Saints are an offensive team first. And you don't get better by subtracting a pro bowl OT. Let's say we made that trade, and Brown was gone, giving Bushrod the start. What do we do if he goes down for the season? You said bring in Flozell. Let's compare the ages of Adams, and Brown. That's NOT a good idea.
We have enough picks in the upcoming draft, to get a DT, that will complement Ellis, Smith, Brown, and McCray, without trading anyone. |

He he tempers..if Haynesworth were to come via a trade for Brown ..everyone of you would be jumping for joy and saying repeat...lol...dont lie..he is this and that till he becomes a Saint then he's the best thing since sliced boudin...I dont want to lose brown either..but we did win the superbowl with Bushrod...and our D needs improving more than our Offense..Right?...carry on

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
I saw them games...bro...and i blame some of that on coaching...We knew Bushrod was over matched...once some adjustments were made ..he was better...So what do you think about Browns knees..would this be a good time to unload him?..
