Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
The Redskins have paid off most of Albert's contract so that at this point the value is only $16 million over 3 years with $9 million guaranteed. Getting rid of Brown may seem like a bad move, but Albert was the consensus #1 defensive tackle in 08 and had a pretty good season last year. He'd automatically give New Orleans the best D-line in the division and be very helpful in the playoffs against teams like Minnesota.
The Saints could always bring in someone like Flozel Adams to add depth at tackle with Brown's departure, but adding a top 3 Defensive tackle is an opportunity that shouldn't be passed up. |

and flozel adams.....he is not a good LT......a top 3 DT is not worth a trade for our top 10 LT a DT has an impact on maybe 1 or 2 plays every 4 downs a LT has an impact on every offensive play |

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
this is one of the worst statements ive heard in a while. who cares how much he signed a contract for. bottom line...he is the best DT in the league. Brown is often injured. what good is a pro bowl OT if he cant get on the field. again...we won the superbowl with Bushrod while brown was on IR. our weakness is obvioulsy our Def. im not sure what saints games you were watching but bushrod is easily a starter. Sure he got beat by two or three guys all year long but i can promise that brown has gotten beat the same amount of times per year. every move bushrod made was magnified because of the fact that he was a 2nd stringer. Get Brown and his lingering knee/groin problems outta here and give me the best DT in the league.

im all for big talented DTs but not for that much money
if it hurts to have a player on the field then he is not worthy of starting....look at jason david.....just because we won the super bowl without brown does not mean we are a better team without brown if you believe that we are better without brown then there is no sense in arguing this point anyway
i know i watched all but 4 games this season....and i know nearly every snap i had my eyes glued to the offensive line......where were your googly eyes fixed on? id bet money you were watching the ball......eh? |

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
1st off you didnt even see every game last year and your spouting off stats- this alone should discredit your argument
2ndly- bushrod was not the reason we won and i dont think there has ever been a superbowl or even a regular game at any level ever won my an OT. 3rdly- there is no point in talking to you if you dont think we would be a better team with haynesworth starting on the Dline. "he played 12 games last year"...so what!...the core players on our D were injured for at least 4 games. Please tell me how the #1 offense in the league suffered from using bushrod. the man shut down some of the best DE in the league and gave up only 1 sack in the playoffs and superbowl to the D lines in the league |

but if you must know....i did end up seeing all of the games on NFL replay because the ones i missed were the redskins, dolphins, giants, and i cant remember the other one but they were all replayed on NFL replay i just think its funny when people say "you must not have watched the games" or "what games were you watching" obviously we all watched the games......the same ones
you dont get better without your best player and bushrod was NOT servicable....hes a fine backup with starting experience now....but nothing more
secondly....nobody is forcing you to talk to me

Re: Is there a possibility of trading Brown for Haynesworth?
now i could only find a handful of highlights after clicking on only 3 games but im sure you get the idea
if i wanted to find more....do you think i would have trouble? why is there only highlights of defensive players beating up bushrod and not the rest of our line? i would show you more videos of bushrod screwing up but since his guy didnt make the play it really doesnt matter if he screwed up or not......click on just about any highlight video of any game and you will see bushrod screw up......and thats just in 5 minute clips....imagine how it projected out the rest of the game i know you think bushrod did well but he didnt and anytime somebody says he did, shows me how many people actually pay attention to the positions in question |
