Alex Brown says he doesn't have to bulk up to play left end
Alex Brown said he doesn’t believe he will have to bulk up to play left end for the New Orleans Saints.
Six days after the Chicago Bears released him, Brown signed a $5.5 million, two-year contract with the Super Bowl champions, who will look to play him on the left side after he spent eight seasons playing almost exclusively right end. The Saints had been patiently shopping for a replacement for left end Charles Grant, after he was released early in the offseason. Brown began a visit there Tuesday and a deal was struck this afternoon between general manager Mickey Loomis and Brown’s agent Joel Segal.
