Jammal Brown to skip offseason workouts

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I have no worries about Brown not reporting to offseason workouts. He is coming off a very serious injury, I am sure he is working his tail off to get better again. Let's face it, most veterans who have an ...

Re: Jammal Brown to skip offseason workouts

I have no worries about Brown not reporting to offseason workouts. He is coming off a very serious injury, I am sure he is working his tail off to get better again. Let's face it, most veterans who have an opportunity to skip offseason and training camp will do so in a heartbeat. Not saying it's really right, but most veterans already know how to get ready for the season without these camps.

it was evident that brown is light years ahead of bushrod and brown clearly deserves whatever he asks for simply by being on the field
Haha wow. Let me just say that I'm glad you don't run this team. We'd be giving Jammal Brown and Aaron Stecker max contracts.

Re: Jammal Brown to skip offseason workouts

What can play out...Best Case Scenario would be...

A franchise in contention for the upcoming season loses it's left tackle; Brown gets the contract he wants and hopefully it's not the Saints who move the "Left" tackle and their No. 1, move up no less than fourteen spots, and pick up a mid two (if you follow the draft board slot value schedule used by many teams - see internet)...

What is likely to happen is AFTER the draft a team has OTA injury(s) or a really agressive/desperate coach who thinks he's that close (heard that before) trade a pick that they may not get to use as they are not going to be around to use (see - Haslett)...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Last year we had close to 100% attendance at off season work outs and won the Suberbowl. Let's see how many commit again this year. That could be the litmus test for this seasons record.
