Is this the BPA strategy?
we have passed up several defenders who many believe would be a better fit and fill a need
guys like sergio kindle, navarro bowman, any DT, etc etc i havent seen us pick one guy that is considered the best player available but thats why teams have their own boards are they taking BPA now? if so, i can confidently say we've never done this before |

We should just hire Mel Kiper as our GM. He really seems like he knows a lot about building a team.

Re: Is this the BPA strategy?
it's been bpa in rd 2 and 3 ... but not rd1. We needed another CB! And they must be satisfied with the two FA Dlinemen signees.

Re: Is this the BPA strategy?
.. it's the Cheech & Chong Draft Strategy. They pass the bong around, and whoever has the bong when the pick comes up, he/she gets to pick the player. Then they all giggle and scarf down Cheetos, but not Coach Payton, who keeps on asking Charles Grant to bring him some F*ing Juicy Fruit...

Re: Is this the BPA strategy?
In the first round it was "What?", second "WTF?" and third was "WHO?"
We have a history of picking away from the mainstream, but this draft has been a little unsettling. All I can say is that SP and Loomis built this team, and NOBODY, not even that genius Kiper, knows how good/bad this draft will be until 2012. As for rounds 4 and on, I hope we don't even draft a LB. Is a 4th rounder going to be better than Dunbar, Mitchell, Casillas? We went 6 games with these guys when Fujita was hurt, so I guess the FO liked what they saw. |
