Draft rethink...
So is this what its like to be a world champion...
yes we have needs on our team but, are we going to take the New England route. Are we looking into the future at all turns. Might this be how a Dynasty is built? We are so accustomed to needing players on the field NOW that we don't know how to react to drafting for the future. Maybe as our team changes into a perennial NFL Power we as fans need to change our approach as well. Im not sayin'... Im just sayin' |

Re: Draft rethink...
I think when you draft last you can't afford to pass on good value picks.
You certainly can't "reach" for positions of need -- that's a recipie for disaster. |

Re: Draft rethink...
Not if they come in and play good...thats a frikin myth..when you have a complete team and just need say one or two picks to be set across the board ..in our case DT and Lb..i think you should reach deep in that pocket..

Re: Draft rethink...
I like the pick
Al Woods, LSU Height: 6-4. Weight: 307. Projected 40 Time: 5.12. Combine 40 Time: 5.12. Pro Day 40 Time: 4.98. Benchx225: 23. Vertical: 37. Projected Round (2009): 7-FA. 1/24/10: Rebounded with a half-decent senior campaign (33 tackles, 5.5 TFL). 2/14/09: Limited by a leg injury, Al Woods had just 11 tackles on the year. 5/9/08: Al Woods finally got his first start in October and he'll have more opportunities with Glenn Dorsey headed to Kansas City. He'll have to put his size and strength together and become a force on LSU's defensive line. |
