53 Arnoux, Stanley LB 6-0 232 23 2 Wake Forest
52 Casillas, Jonathan LB 6-1 227 22 2 Wisconsin
56 Dunbar, Jo-Lonn LB 6-0 226 25 3 Boston College
54 Evans, Troy LB 6-3 238 32 9 Cincinnati
50 Mitchell, Marvin LB 6-3 249 25 4 Tennessee
58 Shanle, Scott LB 6-2 245 30 8 Nebraska
51 Vilma, Jonathan LB 6-1 230 28 7 Miami (Fla.)
59 Waters, Anthony LB 6-3 238 25 4 Clemson

8 guys to fill 3 spots plus any of the UDFAs or other FAs we decide to bring in

underlined are my projected starters.....with 8 LBs already on the roster is there really a major need for LBs?

bigger need is DT IMO

92 Ayodele, Remi DT 6-2 318 27 4 Oklahoma
98 Ellis, Sedrick DT 6-1 307 24 3 Southern California
69 Hargrove, Anthony DT 6-3 272 26 6 Georgia Tech
66 Heyman, Earl DT 6-1 289 22 1 Louisville
95 Leisle, Rodney DT 6-3 315 29 4 UCLA
90 Pressley, DeMario DT 6-3 301 24 3 North Carolina State
94 Woods, Al DT 6-4 314 22 R Louisiana State

7 guys there with 1 guy projected as a starter......no clancy who was our starting NT last season.....so who's our starter at NT?

hargrove will likely be a DE this season that means we have 6 guys to fill 2 spots and none of them are likely starters except ellis

"or other FAs we decide to bring in"

Exactly. As you previously stated...you don't have a big board or better yet (my words not yours) whom the FO has targeted at DT, LB, or FS!

From your recent posts, it seems you believe Loomis and Payton, based on their draft and selection of UDFA, should give the Lombardi Trophy away right now!

IMHO, I give Loomis and Payton the benefit of the doubt and will do so to until us fans reach that pinnacle as coach and GM.

Canton, when you see " " it depicts a quote! Sorry, but I did put your entire quote in the message...it is regrettable you did not recognize the quote I included.

"its a new year brother.....everything starts over....nobody cares that we won it last year anymore except us"...FYI this is YOUR quote

As I stated in a earlier response to you...intuitively obvious to the most casual observer!

just downplaying my opinion is fine

of course im not an NFL scout or evaluator......DUH nobody here is

if nobody recognizes the obvious then it might not be obvious

pointing it out might just be enough for some people to understand the real issues at hand

for instance....we didnt upgrade our run defense in this draft....sure we can trust the draft experts in our FO.....but thats irrelevant because we still didnt upgrade our run defense in this draft

No problem, I discount it about 75% of the time...the other 25% is humours at best.

You make my point very clearly. All the best!

First Harry Colman is HOT GARBAGE.. at best don't want him hes lazy and non productive

Canton I agree with you for the most part although Shanle needs to be upgraded

On the line however we differ we run a 4x3 That puts Ellis and Hargrove at Tackles with A. Brown on one side and Wil Smith on the other with the rest in some type of rotation. Although Hargrove is a better End Brown coming in almost ensures he will stay inside where he was productive last year.

Although not as good as it could be with Brees and Company putting up 30+ each week it will be adequate.

believe it or not it was actually remy starting at NT for us last season after clancy went down

hargrove got a lot of attention for being productive without getting many snaps

he best serves us as a 3rd down pass rusher....didnt get much playing time other than that.....

however....if hargrove starts at DT then ellis is NT and that is not the best way to use him.....ellis works best when manned up against a guard....doesnt help us very much if hes getting the double teams because hes too small to occupy double teams for the entire play

i agree that alex brown should start at DE and i believe that shanle could be upgraded.....but as it stands now, i cant see anybody taking his starting spot

my main concern at LB is troy evans.....can he start and be as productive as fujita was last season?
