WEEK 1 NFL 2010: SAINTS FAVORED IN 2010 OPENER OVER VIKINGS
1 Attachment(s)
The New Orleans Saints start their 2010 title defense on Thursday, September 9 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Belmont.com has already released the Week 1 NFL odds for all 16 games. New Orleans is a four-point home favorite with a total of 53 points. It’s never to early to talk some NFL betting – we’ve got early odds. These teams met in the NFC title game last year, with New Orleans surviving 31-28 in overtime. Brett Favre threw an interception late in regulation and the Saints won the turnover battle 5-1. Minnesota out-gained them 475-257 in total yardage. There are almost too many good story lines for this upcoming game. You can start with New Orleans trying to keep their edge after their stunning Super Bowl upset over Indianapolis. The Saints are the class of the NFC South, with only Atlanta capable of challenging them. Carolina and Tampa Bay are far behind. The offense will be Super Bowl caliber once again with quarterback Drew Brees. The question is the defense and whether it can be more consistent week in and week out. Minnesota is still waiting for Favre to say he’s coming back. There is some minor ankle surgery that needs to be done, but that shouldn’t deter him. Farve is done.
He isn't coming back... people assume he'll be back but if you go back and watch the Saints-Vikes game, his wife will be a major part in that decision and I think its already been made. |
Re: Article: WEEK 1 NFL 2010: SAINTS FAVORED IN 2010 OPENER OVER VIKINGS
Apparently he told an unnamed teammate that he's "100% sure he'll never put on the pads again."
Could that be his official retirement announcement? No Favre On The Ground Part 2. :( |

I was really hoping the Saints would retire him for good the way we did Warner, we'll see if he comes back or not but I sure hope not.

Quite funny...reading this thread. So much animosity towards Favre...yet nobody can post about anything else. You see it's funny because ya'll are somewhat complaining about what you are so guilty of. Think about it.

Re: WEEK 1 NFL 2010: SAINTS FAVORED IN 2010 OPENER OVER VIKINGS
Hard headed just can not be fixed in some people. I doubt his wife will have any weight on the matter. Not that his family shouldn't, it is just that Brett is to damned hard headed.... He is going to spend hours, days, weeks.... talking, discussing, figuring, then one morning he is going to wake up and "SNAP" he will sign a contract and play again...
Just like last season. He spent snap after snap, quarter after quarter, game after game thinking and fighting the urge to throw across his body and throw yet another interception. Then on Jan 24th 2010. "SNAP" he throws it anyway. |
Re: WEEK 1 NFL 2010: SAINTS FAVORED IN 2010 OPENER OVER VIKINGS
LMFAO at The High Low tackle Remi ayodele and Bobby McCray Folded him like a Lawn chair... I dont wish injury on anybody injuries are unfortunate and can ruin promising careers, but I'v had enough of Darth Vader and his Soap Opera every damn year. Vikes need to let Tavaris Jackson play, the kids not the flashiest but he is productive and wins he led them to the playoffs and as i see it u gotta be in it to win it.... That song goes, "Favre on the GROUND Favre on the Ground what ya gonna do when Favre on the Ground, laying face down ankle turn side ways lookin like hes dead with his face in the ground"

All I know is Brett won't be singing that song anymore before a game with us. I bet that he isn't looking forward to playing us at the BEGINNING of the season and having to endure a personal shellacking. Last time he had the entire offseason to recoup. This time around he'll have a game the next week. Aww. Poor Brett.
When they quit having chit like "Favre Watch" on the NFL channel, I'll quit dogging him. They barely talk about the Saints. Grrr. |

I don't know who Justin Bieber is, but Britney is from that Disney explosion in the late 90's, early 2000's. Her, Christina, Justin Timberlake, etc. They give the false presence that you have to be sexy and slutty to market their music. |

You are absolutely right. My roommate and I discuss this very topic on a regular basis. We are both big fans of classic rock and blues (i.e. Clapton, the Stones, Pink Floyd, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn). Those guys would not stand a chance in today's music world if they were just trying to start out because they don't have "the look" that producers want to market. The only reason their music lives on is because they have music that people from their generation remember and pass down over time...staying power. Today's music lives on flash, sexiness, and almost zero talent. The majority of today's "artists" won't be remembered for their music 10 years down the road. They will be more remembered for their stints in rehab or going off the deep end. |
