He didn't say he had final say in the arbitration, just that he will have the final say when everything has panned out. Very few people think that there is anything of substance behind this and whatever punishment he dishes out will be relevant to what he thinks occurred.
Personally, I was thinking he was a little power mad when he first took over. But in retrospect he was following a well thought out plan to keep the NFL image clean in America's eyes. Everyone else wants us to fail so they try to validate anything to take credibility away from us.......Not Gonna' Happen! This team was built on a solid foundation of character and athletics as well. Payton is smart and wouldn't want any part of it. Not to say that he wouldn't take a Vicodin after a hard practice with the boys. ![]() |
