Superbowl XLVIII Location Poll

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Far as I'm concerned they should host it in New Orleans every year. All the new, fancy stadiums be damned. New Orleans is the best host city, and the NFL knows it....

i second that. they really don't know what kind of debacle they could be getting into. there going to believe a weatherman at this time for a feb. game possibly. hope for the best. is it going to be a walk from time sq.? or a 20 to 30 min ride from down town. you can't beat new orleans .

agree! what other city can you walk from the stadium to all over the city? Most stadiums are not even close to the city.

Re: Superbowl XLVIII Location Poll

I chose none of the above. IMO, in these days of domed stadiums, the Superbowl should be played in a domed or retractable roof stadium. If I'm going to pay 1000's of dollars to attend the Superbowl (which I'm not, but somebody is), I want good weather guaranteed. Last time it was held in Miami (2007, when we should have been there), it rained like hell the whole game. We even had Purple Rain at halftime. Bla.

Re: Superbowl XLVIII Location Poll

Hate to say this, but I told you so. With all of these new state of the art facilities to choose from, it's going to be hard for New Orleans to get as many superbowls as they are used too. When the new 49er stadium opens up I guarantee you it will be out here alot. Also, if that new stadium in L.A. gets built, which right now it looks like its going to happen, then it will also be a big target, due to all of the stars it would attract. Sorry guys, the city might be the perfect spot to host, but with these new stadiums, that can hold way more people, the NFL is going to think of itself first, and the city second.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

But they'll have to ship in all the attendees, cause nobody out here will be able to get a job that pays them enough to buy tickets because they'll have to shut down all the schools to pay for free stuff for the illegals and unwillings and build new football stadiums.
