Should Aaron Brooks make the Saints Hall of Fame one day?
First Saints QB to win a Playoff game.
First Saints QB to break many of Archie's records. From 2001-2004 never threw for under 3500 yards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_B...rican_football) Personally I think he'll make it one day. The guy did put in a few good seasons with Mike McCarthy as OC. When Mike left, the whole Haz regime went down. No doubt Brooks needed Mike McCarthy to be successful. Like him or hate him, the stats are there and the history was written. So should he one day make the Saints HOF? |

Its hard to ignore his stats..and at one time i felt he would lead us to the superbowl..i know Archie is more of a sentimental favorite..but Brooks numbers dont lie...i have to say yes...

Wow...that is a really good question. My answer is YES. What he did in 2000 was heroic considering where he was in his career when he was called to duty. For me, that tips the scale in his direction.

Like him or not He should and deserves to be, multiple time pro bowl alternate, avg 3500 yds + his time here, the team even back then were a 2ndary away from doing damage the team was competitive up until 2005 ={ Everything considered turn overs shouldnt spoil a solid career give Jerry Fontenot credit for them also that guy always seemed screw up snaps a few times a game . my vote would be Yes

Whether he "smiled" or not has nothing to do with anything.
What do you want your QB to do after a mistake? Lay down and cry himself to sleep? Bear in mind I loved Hebert, and his passion. But I realize people are different, and have differing ways of dealing. If those stats are considered that off-tha-charts, then I should change my vote to "yes." He certainly did display a great deal of talent in his early tenure with the Saints, and he seemed to have most of the tools you need, except, perhaps-- and this is just my opinion-- leadership? From a talent standpoint, and the rare accomplishment of winning a playoff game for us, I'd have to say yes. I just dont like the guy, because of his indifference to New Orleans itself after the storm. He went out of his way to say that playing here was just a job, and that he wasnt in any way responsible for the emotional leadership of the Gulf Coast. Contrast that with the statements of Drew Brees, who has accepted his importance to our psyche during good times and bad. |
