Personally I think he'll make it one day. The guy did put in a few good seasons with Mike McCarthy as OC. When Mike left, the whole Haz regime went down. No doubt Brooks needed Mike McCarthy to be successful.

Like him or hate him, the stats are there and the history was written. So should he one day make the Saints HOF?

Its hard to ignore his stats..and at one time i felt he would lead us to the superbowl..i know Archie is more of a sentimental favorite..but Brooks numbers dont lie...i have to say yes...

Wow...that is a really good question. My answer is YES. What he did in 2000 was heroic considering where he was in his career when he was called to duty. For me, that tips the scale in his direction.

Edit...oops...I meant 2000

I voted yes. Stats are stats.

I guess the question is should stats alone be the determining factor. Because, in my opinion, smiling after playing lousy football should negate a point, or two.

Re: Should Aaron Brooks make the Saints Hall of Fame one day?

Stats don't tell the whole story, as always.

I can't forget the smiley grins after those boneheaded bad interceptions! AB caught lightning in a bottle for an extremely small glimpse in time. Once opposing teams had a chance to study him, he was average at best. And there were enough bad teams in his day to pad the numbers. He was not consistently stellar against elite competition, but rather more of a liability. Breesus has shown us what a HOF QB should look like. HOF'ers usually separate themselves more than what AB showed.

Like him or not He should and deserves to be, multiple time pro bowl alternate, avg 3500 yds + his time here, the team even back then were a 2ndary away from doing damage the team was competitive up until 2005 ={ Everything considered turn overs shouldnt spoil a solid career give Jerry Fontenot credit for them also that guy always seemed screw up snaps a few times a game . my vote would be Yes
