Saints, Redskins agree on Brown deal

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Hardly a catastrophic loss nor the worst trade in Saints history. If we received zero compensation when he left at the end of year, that would have been one of the most bone headed things we could have done. Would ...

Hardly a catastrophic loss nor the worst trade in Saints history. If we received zero compensation when he left at the end of year, that would have been one of the most bone headed things we could have done. Would I have liked better compensation from our former All Pro tackle? Of course... but what we received wasn't absolutely terrible and it's certainly better than a ball of nothing. Besides Brees, practically everyone is replaceable. Last time I checked, Bushrod did a good enough job which helped us win a Superbowl.

This pretty much nails the way I feel about the entire Brown situation.

Yeah, but winning a superbowl? That's not enough papz... I'm not saying Bushrod is better than Brown. What I am saying, is that after sitting out a year, Canton, I would bet my money towards "not as good", before I'm going to think he's going to come back, and jump right back into pro bowl form. The skins are already projecting him at right tackle, not left. Now what does that say? Shanahan knows a thing or two about building an O-line, don't you agree? Projected at RT, with a second year rookie, starting at LT. I know projections are just that, but even his new team has doubts about his abilities on the left side. Either way, he's gone, so whatever....

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

its the "i dont give a **** attitude" that upsets me about this

projected RT because trent williams is an animal.....and your right......shanahan knows a thing or 2 about building an O-line......thats why he traded for brown......DUH

brown is a natural right tackle because why? because its an easier position to play......every tackle is a natural right tackle because its easier

oh yea.....and a year removed from the pro bowl......i'll take not as good.....because i know its better than awful which is what i watched last year at LT
