Brett Favre to Retire!
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hate to say I tole you so...but I don't hate to that much. I told you he would retire!! And I've been telling you since the NFCCG. There was never a doubt in my mind. OK I feel better ...

It comes down to being able to walk- he was afraid that would not be possible after week 1 of this season.

Saw someone post this comment on a Kevin Seifert article about Favre on ESPN just a few minutes ago. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time, because I would have spit it all over my laptop:

Great QB. Great career. Got a ring. First ballot HOF. Records. Admiration. Respect. Smart move Brett. I know you want to keep going, but it is far better to have your health at 50 than 1 more super bowl ring.
