Wednesday marked a day of dread as the very "calm and smooth camp" for the Saints so far came to a screeching halt.
As reported earlier, running back Lynell Hamilton suffered what appears to be an ACL tear in his right knee during practice with the New England Patriots. Practice was very light for both teams as they just were touching and letting go when it came to any kind of real contact. Hamilton though still couldn't avoid injury. It appears as if Hamilton cut back and landed strangely on his plant foot then hitting the ground without ever being touched. Two trainers came out to assist him up and off the field. When asked if he knew exactly what happened to Hamilton, Coach Sean Payton wasn't sure. "No, I don’t. We’re going to get an exam right now. It was something that was kind of a freak deal. He planted – and it’s his knee – so we’re hopeful it’s not serious but we’ll find out after he gets examined." Reggie Bush spoke to Hamilton after the incident to see how he was feeling.
